Some of our patients have pointed out to us that the arsenic contained in rice is toxic, so we should not eat it. However, this statement is not true. If rice were really as toxic as some people believe, the Asian world would theoretically already be extinct. Rice is basically not toxic, but the arsenic content in rice plays a decisive role. What you should pay attention to when eating, you will learn in this article.

In general, you should always make sure that you take in as few potentially harmful and carcinogenic substances into your body, for example through food, as possible.

At what level of consumption can arsenic poisoning occur?

To actually get arsenic poisoning, the amount consumed would have to be extremely high. To show the relationship, the following example: a person weighing about sixty kilograms would have to consume about sixty thousand kilograms of a very toxic, arsenic-containing rice in one sitting to get arsenic poisoning. This is absolutely unrealistic. However, even if consumption does not cause direct arsenic poisoning, too much arsenic can harm us. Although the arsenic content in rice is minimal, it is still noticeable compared to other foods.

Healthy rice

The decisive factor with regard to arsenic is above all the amount consumed. Do you eat rice only occasionally, regularly once a week, daily, or even several times a day? Just as crucial as the amount and frequency of consumption is the type of rice itself. There is both organically bound arsenic and inorganic arsenic. Only the inorganic arsenic, which is not bound, is problematic. This is found mainly in the groundwater of the areas where rice is grown. The rice grows in standing water, which is where the problems begin. If the water were flowing, the rice would contain little to no arsenic. For example, rice grown in the monsoon seasons, which does not require irrigation with groundwater, has a significantly lower arsenic content than conventional rice varieties irrigated with groundwater containing arsenic.

Healthy rice varieties include basmati as well as jasmine rice. Their consumption is completely safe, as they contain no more than one-third of the arsenic content of other rice varieties.

Is whole grain rice unhealthier than “normal” rice?

With regard to the arsenic content, this question can be answered quite clearly with yes. The reason is that the arsenic is mainly accumulated in the exterior, i.e. in the husk of the rice grain, and not in the interior. Hulling the rice grains can reduce the arsenic content by about eighty percent, making the whole grain version the unhealthier one. But even here, the basmati as well as jasmine rice are harmless, because in these varieties the difference between the outside and inside of the rice grain is very small.

Wash the arsenic from rice

To clean the rice, it can be washed properly with cold water about two to three times before cooking until the water becomes clear. Provided that no milky water remains, the arsenic content in the rice is very low and therefore harmless.

Basically, the arsenic content in rice is not so high that you can get sick from it immediately. Well-grown rice, preferably of organic quality, which has been cultivated in flowing waters, is a valuable and indispensable food. Basmati and jasmine rice require far fewer additives during cultivation than other varieties such as long-grain rice. If you like to eat rice, it is best to resort to fragrant rice varieties, as they are much healthier and more digestible.

A good detoxification system

In addition to choosing a good type of rice, it is important to have a good detoxification system in your own body. The body’s ability to eliminate toxic substances should always be ensured. It is therefore just as important to take care to supply the body with as few toxins as possible, as it is to take care that the toxins are led out of the body again. If you want to know in more detail how this works, feel free to check out our free three-part course on YouTube about heavy metals. This explains exactly how the detoxification system in our body works.

Patients in our practice regularly ask themselves how they can effectively protect themselves from electrosmog. It is known that these high-frequency radiations, starting from cell phones, WLAN, radio masts, cordless phones and many other sparking devices are harmful to health. In this article you will learn what happens in the body and how you can effectively protect yourself from radiation.

Electrosmog – The influence on our biosystem

There are a large number of studies that prove that radiation has a negative effect on our health. If the radiation hits our cells as well as cell nuclei and DNA, it causes disturbances in the behavior of the cells. The communication between the cells as well as the proteins and enzymes are influenced in their regular course and thus disturbed.

Protection against the dangerous radiations

First of all, it is important to avoid the dangerous radiation as far as possible. This includes switching off the WLAN when it is not actively in use (especially at night), replacing cordless phones with cable phones, using the cell phone as little as possible and also switching it off at night. There is also the option of wiring the cell phone via an adapter and connecting it to a LAN plug so that no radio connection is required.

If your place of residence is in close proximity (less than 500 meters) to a radio mast, there is a high probability that the room is permanently exposed to massive radiation. This can be easily measured with a measuring device. You can either borrow such measuring devices or have the measurement done by a building biologist. If the measurement results in too much radiation, this is not a healthy habitat. It is necessary to shield the room from radiation.

But not only in our own four walls is our body exposed to dangerous electrosmog. Especially when travelling, such as at work, at school or on public transport or premises, there are radiation fields everywhere, the shutdown of which is usually not at our discretion. Nevertheless, there are various ways to harmonize them and strengthen the body.

There are different methods to test the below mentioned technologies for their effectiveness. These are:

1. autonomous regulatory diagnostics makes it possible to check the autonomous nervous system and its reaction to radiation.
2. darkfield microscopy shows how the radiation affects the charge safety of the cells. Our cells have a charge by which they repel each other. Due to electrosmog, they lose this charge for a moment, for example for ten to thirty minutes, depending on the duration of the influence. The cells stick together, the blood becomes thicker and therefore less flowable. Health problems with the blood circulation can therefore be caused by electrosmog.
3. heart rate variability (HRV) is a measure of how the heart responds to stress

After adding the various techniques described, the patient is re-examined. The effectiveness of the following techniques has already been successfully demonstrated:

1st Vita Chip: The so-called Vita Chip is attached to various devices such as the cell phone, the WLAN router, the telephone or even the baby monitor. This does not reduce the radiation, but modulates it. This means that the devices then function as a kind of bioresonance device. They therefore contain a health-giving information that they pass on to the human organism, which is perceived as positive by most people. These chips are relatively cheap and the installation is simple. The disadvantage, however, is that the Vita Chip has to be attached to each device individually and therefore cannot have any influence on the radiation outside our living space.

2. the technology of the company Qi Blanco – a more portable cell protection: this system offers the possibility to protect the body directly from all external radiation influences. The chip contained in the system creates a static field that stimulates water molecules in the body to change into a coherent state. The water crystals align themselves in a geometric structure and thus act like a Faraday cage. As soon as radiation arrives, it flows past. This system works with any kind of high-frequency radiation and therefore protects you perfectly. The company Qi Blanco offers protection in the form of a chain (QiOne, QiOne 2 Pro) and in the form of a home system.

You will get the best protection if you combine all three options: avoid radiation if possible, attach some Vita Chips to your electronic devices and use the Qi Blanco system. Since the costs are not necessarily insignificant, you can use one of the options at first.

To protect yourself and your health as much as possible from 5G and electrosmog, it is advisable to follow these tips. Thus, radiation can be avoided or at least harmonized. Experience shows that the effect is quite fast.

Caution Laureth Sulfate

Sodium Laureth Sulfate, also Sodium Lauryl Sulfate – What is this actually and how harmful is it for our skin and our health? The so-called laureth sulphate is a surfactant, i.e. a washing-active substance which binds dirt and also has a fat-dissolving effect. This tenside is contained in shampoo and shower gel, but also in toothpaste, soaps and detergents. It has a cleansing effect and also provides a good amount of foam. Sounds promising, right? Yes, but in this article you will learn about the health consequences.

Despite its good cleaning properties, Sodium Laureth Sulfate is known for its harmful properties. The chemical surfactants cause considerable damage to the skin barrier. Due to the aggressive tensides, the skin loses its basic greasiness and thus becomes susceptible to itching, dryness, flaking and various skin diseases.

Basically the skin barrier protects the skin from getting sick. It ensures that fungi and bacteria cannot penetrate. However, if the skin barrier is damaged by regular washing with products containing Sodium Laureth Sulfate, health can suffer greatly. But not only the skin, also our hair is damaged by the chemical ingredients. The hair has a natural layer of fat, which prevents the hair from becoming thin and brittle. This is also negatively influenced by the regular use of chemical shampoo. The surfactants have a strong degreasing effect and thus ensure above all that the scalp dries out. In addition, the scalp can become tense and flaky. The aggressive surfactants can attack not only the scalp but also the sensitive facial skin and irritate the eyes. It even goes so far that the lungs can be irritated by inhaling the chemical substances.

Besides the aggressive surfactants, there are other, gentler surfactants that are less harmful to skin and hair. These include for example the glycosides. When buying shampoo, shower gel, toothpaste, soap and detergent you should therefore pay attention to the ingredients on the back. As a rule, Laureth sulphates are also labelled as such and are therefore easy to recognise. As a rule, organic or natural products should not contain any toxic ingredients. In these, manufacturers rely on milder alternatives that are intended to protect both the environment and health. But even with natural products you should check whether they really contain only mild ingredients.

If Laureth toothpaste contains sulphate, this can lead to damage to the oral mucosa. The result is usually painful aphthae. One more reason to take a closer look at his toothpaste! If you already suffer from aphthae, the wrong ingredients could be responsible for this problem.

What happens through the chemical surfactants in the body?

The substance laureth sulphate releases dioxins into the skin, which are considered carcinogenic. These accumulate in the body and cause considerable damage over time. Our body basically tends to collect the harmful substances that arrive orally or through the skin and store them in the body instead of excreting them quickly. In addition, the substances can enter the liver for detoxification, which can damage the liver cells and ultimately lead to cancer.

Not only our nature, but especially your body will benefit if you give up all products containing Laureth Sulfate in the future and replace your existing products with natural ones. Highly recommended are the products of Hair-Ressource, which are 100% organic and natural. Highly recommended are the products of Hair-Ressource, which are 100% organic and natural. The choice is huge, so nowadays there is something for every taste. Instead of using conventional shampoos and shower gel, you can also try hair soap and body soap. Not only are they healthy, they also save a lot of packaging waste. A changeover from aggressive surfactants takes a while, however – so do not give up. The gentler alternatives are many times better for your health and you will see – they serve the same purpose.

Glyphosate is a pesticide that is used for weed control in agriculture, but also for personal use. This is mainly contained in the well-known remedy “Roundup” from Monsanto. In this article you can read about the health effects of glyphosate and why it is still used.

The history of glyphosate

The main component of today’s glyphosate is the former “Agent Orange”. This was used in the Vietnam War to clear the jungle of leaves and thus get a clear view. It was sprayed over a large area of the jungle. Later, the product was used for weed killing in private use and in agriculture.

The use of glyphosate in agriculture

While the use of the poisonous agent is prohibited in organic farming, it is very often used in conventional farming. Glyphosate is used by farmers for the following reasons:

1. to clear the soil of weeds so that the seed can emerge and grow undisturbed

2. to be able to plan the harvest accurately To achieve this, the farmer sprays the entire field with glyphosate shortly before the harvest, for example when a longer dry phase occurs. The poison causes the grain (such as oats or spelt) to die. During this process, the grain once again exerts all its strength, so that the farmer can expect a 30% higher yield. On the one hand, the period of harvest can be determined relatively accurately and, on the other hand, the yield is significantly higher than it would be without the use of glyphosate. For these reasons the poison has not yet been banned on the European market. Unfortunately, a healthy alternative has not yet been found.

How dangerous is glyphosate?

In 2015, the World Health Organization (WHO) classified glyphosate in cancer category 2A, meaning that it is considered likely to cause cancer in humans. By comparison, asbestos and tobacco fall into the same category.

Now when you consider that all our food is contaminated with glyphosate, the danger becomes clear. It has been proven that the poison changes our DNA so that mutations occur. In the worst case, these can develop into cancer.

Glyphosate also binds aluminium in the body, which is then transported to the brain. Over time, the brain is increasingly poisoned with aluminium and neurological diseases such as multiple sclerosis, Parkinson’s, Alzheimer’s or dementia develop.

Glyphosate also interferes with hormone balance, which can lead to diabetes and obesity, among other things. The microbiome in the intestine also mutates so that the cells in the intestine can die from the toxins. Various bacteria that are dangerous for us grow through glyphosate, such as Borrelia bacteria.

Glyphosate binds many different substances in the body, especially minerals. In general, the supply of minerals in our fruit and vegetables is relatively low, as these are lost when the food is sprayed. In addition, the plants can hardly extract any minerals from the soil, as it is already heavily contaminated by glyphosate and phosphorus fertiliser. In the end, about five to ten percent of minerals are left over, which the plants pull out of the soil. If these are then also bound in the body by glyphosate, the body can no longer use minerals in the end.

Protection from glyphosate

In general you should avoid the intake of glyphosate. Only unsprayed food should be consumed. You can either grow them yourself, buy them from a local organic farmer or organic shop or order them online. You should make sure that food you eat in large quantities (for example bread) is of pesticide-free origin.

To test whether your body is heavily loaded with glyphosate, we offer you the following test options:

1. about the autonomous regulatory diagnostics in our practice
2. self-test via our Dr. Mama system
3. a urine test (approx. 35 EUR), which is sent to a laboratory and evaluated

Although there is not yet an officially established limit for humans, an evaluation can provide information about glyphosate levels in your body. The only requirement for drinking water is that it must contain less than 0.1 nanogram of glyphosate per litre. The measured values of all people, on the other hand, are much higher.

The right detoxification

If a high value is found in you, a detox is advisable. There are several options available to you. The most important means are:

1. humic acid as drinking moor
2. Aktivomin
3. amino acid glycine
4. Brokkolisprossen

You should also work with antioxidants like vitamin C and vitamin E if possible. Selenium also reduces the dangerous effect of glyphosate.

During the detoxification phase, a suitable binder such as zeolite should also be taken to bind released glyphosate. After about a quarter of a year, the test should be repeated for review. It is clear that, in general, the supply of glyphosate in any form should be stopped.

Unfortunately, nowadays even organic food is no longer 100% free of glyphosate. The poison hangs in the air as well as in the water and thus also transfers to the biofields. In order to keep the dangerous effects and consequences as low as possible, you should make sure that you stay away from contaminated food as far as possible and use good, regional products, perhaps from the organic farmer next door.

Amalgam is one of the most common dental fillings in Germany and many other countries. It is paid for by health insurance companies and is considered stable and durable. Dentists usually process amalgam because it is uncomplicated. For plastic or ceramic fillings the dentist must be more skilled and better trained. Many patients shy away from co-payment and therefore choose the free option. In this article you will learn about the massive health consequences of such amalgam fillings.
What amalgam does to the body

Amalgam is a major health problem. More than half of this substance consists of mercury, other components are silver, copper, tin, zinc and others. When patients ask their dentist whether existing amalgam fillings can be removed, they often get the answer that the fillings look good. In many cases this is even true, but at any time the mercury is in the mouth, masses of mercury molecules are created. These enter the body via the bloodstream through abrasion when brushing and chewing, but also through the tooth pulp. Via the bloodstream, the mercury also reaches the trigeminal nerve, through which the poison reaches the brain directly. The health of the brain is endangered. In the first few decades the body can compensate for the poison, but in old age the problems usually begin. The constant flow of mercury into the brain creates larger areas in which no new cell or nerve connections can develop. Nerve cell connections that are missing lead to diseases like Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, multiple sclerosis and other neurological diseases.

The body is not able to drain the mercury out of the body on its own. The amalgam accumulates, is first parked in places in the body where it causes least damage, such as in the connective tissue. Gradually, the body fills up so that the mercury ends up in the cells and the central nervous system. The body cannot excrete the poison without help. So-called scavenger cells absorb the toxins, but die when trying to transport them to the liver. Further consequences are depression and schizophrenia. The mercury massively disturbs many competent processes in the body.

Amalgam was already banned in China, India and other countries some time ago. The EU is also talking about a ban, but a final phase-out is not planned until 2022. Dentists allegedly lack appropriate materials, so that no immediate ban can be issued. However, the co-payment for plastic fillings for pregnant women and nursing mothers will be covered by all health insurances since July 1, 2018. Every patient should be protected and amalgam filling should be prohibited.

A test method can be used to find out whether all symptoms are caused by mercury poisoning in the body. If this suspicion is confirmed, existing amalgam fillings should definitely be removed with the correct procedure.

Important steps towards restructuring

1. before removing amalgam, a good binding agent, for example chlorella, should be taken Care should be taken to take a really good product. Chlorella from Biopure.eu works best for us (more Information)  (With the therapist number D10410 you get a discount here)

2. The natural detoxification pathways of the body must be free. The lymphatic system, liver, kidneys and intestines must be intact. For example, if the patient suffers from chronic constipation, this must be treated before the amalgam is removed.

3. The dentist should clarify whether the removal can be done quadrant by quadrant. This means that if there are several amalgam fillings, remove them one by one – not all at once. In this way the body is given time to deal with the poisonous sponges that develop.

4. The dentist should work with a rubber dam. This serves to shield the tooth to be treated from the rest of the oral cavity to avoid possible mercury burns or other complications. However, there are still dentists who drill out the fillings without any protection.

5. As toxic fumes are produced during drilling, a suction device for the drill is recommended. This “Clean Up” is already available for about eight euros and, if the dentist does not have it, the patient can bring it along himself. This device has a standard size and fits on all common drills. The toxic fumes should not be inhaled by the patient or the staff in the room.

6. A supply of fresh air from outside via a nasal probe is also advisable.

7. The hole in the tooth created after removal must first be filled with chlorella powder for ten to fifteen minutes and then rinsed out. Then a cement filling should first be made, as this will absorb the last molecules of mercury for the next six to twelve months. This is then replaced by a durable plastic or ceramic filling.

A restoration should only be carried out by experienced dentists and under consideration of the above mentioned points. Otherwise there is a risk of further health consequences. Pregnant and breastfeeding mothers should take binding agents when amalgam fillings exist to avoid poisoning the child. Under no circumstances should remediation be carried out during this time. For women who wish to have children, it is advisable to check in advance whether rehabilitation is necessary.

Here you can download a checklist with which you can check whether the dentist is the right one for amalgam sanitation or not : Checklist for amalgam sanitation

The flavour enhancer glutamate, which is indispensable for many food manufacturers and restaurants, poses many problems and dangers for our body. Many people do not even know how many foods they regularly buy contain this dangerous additive. In this article you will learn what glutamate does to the body, how to avoid eating it and how to recognize this food additive when you shop.

What glutamate is and what it is used for   Glutamate is a flavour enhancer which is contained in many finished products. The glutamate enhances the feeling of taste. It is often used in restaurants to make soups and sauces tastier. The additive is also contained in Maggi, vegetable stock and stock cubes. It quickly and easily adds flavour to food. Instead of these seasonings, you should rather use traditional spices and herbs that make the food just as tasty and spicy.

What glutamate does to the body  The addition of glutamate damages various parts of the brain stem. It makes you hungrier than you actually are, resulting in obesity and diabetes. But the biggest problem is the destruction of the brain. Every human being has a certain number of nerve cells from birth. Once these are destroyed, they can no longer regenerate. Glutamate destroys nerve cells. This process is also known as nerve cell loss and is responsible for diseases such as Alzheimer’s, dementia, multiple sclerosis and Parkinson’s disease. The destruction of nerve cells is a slow process in the body. If you occasionally eat foods containing glutamate, this is not a tragedy, but you should avoid it if possible and only enjoy it in moderation.

The retina of the eye can also be damaged by frequent consumption of glutamate as a result of glaucoma, which can be caused by a glutamate-induced increase in pressure in the eye. There can also be swelling in the brain, which can cause headaches.

The China House syndrome and what’s behind it   The China House syndrome is an intolerance or allergy to glutamate that causes various symptoms in sensitive people such as headaches, dizziness, palpitations and sweating. The symptoms appear about 10 to 30 minutes after eating foods containing glutamate and can last for several hours in the worst case. The soy sauce in Chinese restaurants is a classic example of a high glutamate content. The symptoms can occur after eating food in such a restaurant. But even if there is no intolerance, a visit to the Asian should be a rarity.

Important for pregnancy  During pregnancy it is particularly important to avoid glutamate. This is a major problem for the growth hormones, so it happens that children become too small but at the same time overweight. Protect your child before birth by avoiding glutamate.

How to detect and avoid glutamate: Glutamate has various names on the packaging of foodstuffs. First of all, it is always healthier to eat clean, which means eating food that is as unprocessed as possible. Most packet soups and many other convenience products contain the additive, so they are not recommended. The food additive can be recognized under the names glutamate, flavor enhancer, yeast extract, spices, vegetable extract, flavors, and under the numbers E620, E621, E622, E623, E624, and E625.

There are very few finished products without glutamate. You can usually find these in well-assorted health food stores or organic food stores. But be careful, organic products can also contain glutamate.

To avoid possible illnesses, pay attention to your diet, cook and season as freshly as possible. Glutamate leads your brain astray and plays artificial tastes.
Sometimes glutamate even superimposes the original taste of a food.

There are good reasons to avoid sugar in your daily diet. However, some sugar substitutes do not make it better: one of the most dangerous is aspartame. Here you can find out why it is so important to remove this ingredient from your daily diet. But beware, it is hidden in more products than it first appears.

What is aspartame?

Aspartame is a sugar substitute that has been approved since 1965. Aspartame is produced by a subsidiary of the much criticised Monsanto group. The sweetener is used in food, snacks, sweets and beverages to provide a pleasantly sweet taste instead of sugar. This dubious sweetener is very often added to so-called “light” and “zero” products in particular. Whenever treats such as lemonade or sweets are made without sugar, they may contain aspartame. Especially in commercial chewing gums, aspartame is almost always among the ingredients.

Other names under which aspartame can appear on the product packaging are such illustrious creations as Nutrasweet and Canderel or simply E 951.

Possible symptoms after aspartame use The sweetener puts the human organism to a real stress test. The consumption of food containing aspartame can trigger a variety of symptoms. These include psychological as well as physical ailments, some of which are serious. The following health problems can be associated with aspartame consumption:

– Anxiety
– chronic fatigue
– Burning eyes
– Eye problems
– Migraine
– Swindle
– Tinnitus
– Shaking
– Arthrosis
– Asthmatic reactions
– Itching and other skin irritations
– Hair Loss
– Abdominal pain
– Menstrual cramps
– pain when urinating
– Impotence
– Circulatory disorders
– Weight gain
– Fluctuations of the blood sugar level

Reasons for the negative effects of aspartame  When aspartame is absorbed by the body, the sweetener breaks down into its three building blocks. These are:

1. phenylalanine
2. aspartic acid
3. methanol

The body has problems with all three of the above-mentioned substances if it has to process them in too high quantities (or even too regularly).

Phenylalanin  If phenylalanine is taken in excess, it accumulates in the brain. There it can cause headaches, memory loss or mood swings. In the worst case, excessive intake of phenylalanine can even lead to depression or schizophrenia. As is often the case, the dose makes the poison. This is because the substance is basically a harmless endogenous amino acid, which in small quantities is quite important and correctly placed.

Aspartic acid Aspartic acid becomes questionable when it crosses the blood-brain barrier in the body. This is particularly easy to do in children, as the blood-brain barrier is not yet fully closed. The influence of the now omnipresent electromagnetic fields such as W-LAN or mobile telephony also increases the permeability. This is why the blood-brain barrier no longer functions properly in almost all people, as studies have shown. If aspartic acid reaches the brain in this way, it can destroy the nerve cells. In this way, the number of nerve cells is gradually reduced. It is important to know: every human being is born with only one set number of nerve cells. If we lose them, they are irretrievably gone. The only thing that can multiply during growth are the connections between the nerve cells, the so-called synapses. The loss of important nerve cells is accompanied by far-reaching consequences such as Alzheimer’s disease, memory loss, dementia, Parkinson’s disease, multiple sclerosis or other serious nervous diseases.

Methanol The organism further breaks down methanol into formic acid and formaldehyde! Even small amounts of formaldehyde vapours are viewed extremely critically in the furniture industry and in the cosmetics sector. Due to their damaging effect, they must be kept as low as possible. However, the amount of formaldehyde from regular aspartame consumption is significantly higher than what the above-mentioned products could emit. Formaldehyde also acts in the brain. It can cause eye problems such as blurred vision or a narrowing of the visual field, as well as headaches and dizziness. What is particularly serious, however, is that formaldehyde in the body can destroy the retina and thus lead to blindness.

Important for diabetes and aspartame Especially for diabetics, formaldehyde splitting poses a major problem. After all, it is precisely these people who resort to the typical “light” products in order to avoid eating sugar. Moreover, the retina of diabetics is already at risk anyway. If the influence of aspartame is added to this, the risk of permanent damage increases significantly. Caution is absolutely necessary.

Correct handling: avoid aspartame specifically Of course, one or the other chewing gum or other occasional consumption of aspartame containing food will not cause immediate damage to you. The decisive factor is regular consumption and the intake of high amounts of the problematic sugar substitute. It is therefore extremely important to read the information on the ingredients on the packaging carefully. Basically, you should avoid anything whose label speaks of “Light” or “Zero” or even “Diet”, unless the list of ingredients gives the all-clear. Good substitutes for both harmful sugars and the dangerous aspartame are xylitol (birch sugar), stevia, date sweetener and erythritol. As you can see, there are numerous harmless alternatives so that sweet food does not have to become the bitter truth.
